Maggie Millar told her story of late life diagnosis of type 2 diabetes to Alan Hopgood, who combined it with the story of two other women to present this story of 3 women with varying experiences of diabetes.

Following the success of the women’s play, audiences asked for a play about men with diabetes, which resulted in this story of three journalists in a pub discussing diabetes, the ‘epidemic of the 21st century’.
